While you’re here, catch a glimpse of our local celebrity – the Moose and the spectacular scenery the Katahdin area is famous for!
We are home to Baxter State Park where Maine’s tallest peak – Mt. Katahdin, the Northern Terminus of the Appalachian Trail and an abundance of hiking trails are found. The Katahdin Region is well-known by sportsmen for its world class landlock salmon and small mouth bass fishing.
