MORE GOOD NEWS! Katahdin Tourism Partnership has been awarded a grant from the Davis Conservation Foundation to develop Wildlife & Working Forest interpretive panels along the nature trails at River Pond on the Golden Road just west of Millinocket, Maine on timber land owned by Katahdin Forest Management. A great example of how recreational trails and working forest can simultaneously contribute to the local economy in rural Maine.
