NEW SCENIC BYWAY INFORMATION GATEWAY!
On your way to the Patten Lumbermen’s Museum (Facebook | Web) and right across from the legendary Craig’s Clam Shop, stop by the Katahdin Woods & Waters Scenic Byway information gateway (under construction) at the Patten Recreation Area alongside the Patten Academy Alumni Park.
Creating a new sidewalk into the park to access granite benches, interpretive signs, and an information kiosk with byway and Patten History information, and a local events bulletin board.
A wonderful partnership between the Katahdin Tourism Partnership (KTP) and the town of Patten, Maine, this project is funded by MaineDOT and a National Scenic Byway Program grant.
An official ribbon-cutting inauguration is planned for Saturday August 12, 2017.
